Trials Biking Group Ride: Hidden Pond – November 3, 2021

This was one of those rides where I literally could not complete any line that I tried. Regardless, it’s always great to be riding my bike, and it’s good to be with friends. It’s also cool being behind the camera as well. Most of the lines I tried were pretty Read more

Trials Biking: Nichols Field – November 1, 2021

Despite feeling terrible Monday morning, I really wanted to do some trials riding, and had been itching to go back to ride at Nichols Field. In addition to the rocks and other fun trials riding features, Nichols Field has baseball/soccer fields, a basketball court, hiking trails, a small playground, a Read more

Trials Biking Group Ride: Colonel Ledyard Park – October 28, 2021

A nor’easter ripped through the area Wednesday bringing strong winds and heavy rains (thankfully instead of snow) on Wednesday, so this week we rode on Thursday instead. We figured Colonel Ledyard Park would be a bit drier than the woods after all the rain. Looking back through my YouTube group Read more

Trials Biking: Day Pond Group Ride and Solo Session – October, 2021

Group Ride I started this week’s Wednesday group ride by snapping my bike chain literally 30 seconds after getting on the bike to warm up. As the start of my warmup, I rolled onto a small rock from which I planned to drop off on the rear wheel; however, the Read more

Two Pallets, a Plank, a Tree Stump… and a Bike

This short edit shows a number of different trials lines using just two pallets, a wooden plank, and a tree stump. In addition to riding a number of different lines, I also experimented with different camera angles. This edit shows that you can do interesting things on a trials bike Read more

Trials Biking Group Ride – Rocky Neck State Park

One of the great things about trials biking is that you can do it anywhere. This week’s ride was at Rocky Neck State Park. We usually warm up on the rocks near the paved parking area, but there are also interesting features to ride in the dirt parking lot. After Read more

Trials Biking This Week: Group Ride at UCONN Avery Point and Driveway Session at Home

Wednesday afternoon turned out to be gorgeous – a perfect riding day with sunshine and moderate temperatures. It was a pretty chill session this week since we just had our trials competition last Saturday. Most of the ride was just sessioning different features and screwing around on the bikes. It’s Read more

Trials Biking – Chill Session at Home – September 25, 2021

Every now and then there’s a day that I’m just not ‘feelin’ it.’ I’m tired, not mentally ‘in the game’ and not very motivated. At the same time, I know I should be riding – not because I ‘have to,’ but because I enjoy trials and because pushing through the Read more

Trials Biking Edit – Day Pond State Park – September 18, 2021

Here’s a short edit of my recent ride at Day Pond State Park (which also has mountain biking trails). I was able to do lines that I hadn’t been able to do before, as well as some I wouldn’t have even tried last time I rode here. Some lines I Read more

Bike Trials Group Rides – Glacial Park – September 8 & 11, 2021

During the second week in September, we actually had two group rides at Glacial Park: the standing weekly Wednesday ride and a bonus Saturday ride. As an additional bonus, we had some riders join us from further North – guys we don’t see too often.
