Trials riders, have you ever wondered where to look for info on upcoming trials events – whether there are any near you or that you might want to travel to participate in? Bike trials event organizers, have you had challenges in getting the word out to raise awareness for your events? Yep, me too – on both counts (which is why I added an events calendar to This Is Bike Trials! for trials events in North America, but that’s not the point of this post…).
Lithuanian rider Tadas Labudis also noticed the same problem… and decided to do something about it. The result is his new Trials Calendar website!
“When I started catching up on the scene, the dates were scattered across club Facebook pages, Instagram stories, and federation websites, and I couldn’t find one place that said what was on, so I built one.”
–Tadas Labudis, Trials Calendar creator (source: https://trialscalendar.com/about/)
The Trials Calendar is simple and easy to use, yet powerful. Oh yeah – and it’s FREE! Bike trials events are listed right on the home page, with customizable views and filters. You can also navigate to events by date, country, or organization. From event details pages, you can click “remind me” to get event reminders and updates and/or click “Add to calendar” to add events to your Google or Apple Calendars. You can even subscribe to the email newsletter for weekly emails of upcoming events near you. If you run a trials organization, you can add your organization details or edit them if they’re already there. If you’re hosting an event, you can add and edit events and associated details.
You’ve heard me talk about it, but see for yourself. Browse the calendar and see what events are near you, or to see what else is happening around the world. If you run a trials organization or are planning an event, add it (or edit it if it’s already there). This is a great resource for the bike trials community, so spread the word! And if you want to support the calendar, donate some cash to help Tadas defray costs for this free service! (use the “Buy us a coffee” link from the site). I just did!
