After a couple weeks being off the bike due to work schedules and illness, I was finally able to get back on my trials bike for a short session in the driveway.
Apparently this disc golf course is also great for bike trials riding – tons of rocks! This was my first time riding this location. I love trying new spots!
Veteran trials pro Mike Steidley and novice trials rider Jose joined me for this week’s group ride. It was great to finally meet Jose in person.
We always have a good time when the crew gets together and this week was no different. Plus it was sunny and the rocks were grippy.
After riding the new bike on pallets for the first ride, it was time to try it in the woods on some rocks. There were some struggles both with me and the bike.
I just got a new trials bike! This is my first ride and my initial impressions. This 26-inch bike definitely feels different from my other 24-inch bikes.
Soccer season has started – the park was loaded with people. We drew some attention with our biking antics, but mostly people at least pretended to ignore us.
Trials video edits often show riders executing moves and lines perfectly and effortlessly. That’s usually not how it works, for any level of trials rider.
It was over 90F and humid, but we went for a ride anyway. Ryan’s brakes locked up due to the heat, Tony unlocked a new cheat, and Scott nailed massive rollups.
