Despite the forecast for rain, I needed to get out on my trials bike. The slots in the pallets messed with me in multiple ways. The slippery wood didn’t help.
We got some snow this week making our usual spots unrideable. So we went to Tony’s place to ride on sketchy wooden features in the parking lot.
We’ve been remodeling our kitchen, so I haven’t ridden much lately. Despite having the builders working in the house, I needed to get on my bike and ride.
Using the main posts from my son’s old playscape and some other scraps of wood, I built a set of skinny beams, that I just needed to ride.
This week it was supposed to rain, and the rest of the trials crew already had plans. Perfect time to ride pallets in the yard!
After driving past a park with plenty of telephone pole skinny lines I wanted to ride, I finally decided to try a bike trials practice session there.
The rain started just as we began riding, making the wooden features of the trials park wet and slippery. And a load of cops showed up!
It was a gorgeous afternoon. There were lots of lines and obstacles to ride. Everything was going well, until… it wasn’t.
After about 30 minutes into this backyard trials session, I wasn’t sure I was going to successfully complete any lines on the rocks. So I tried something else.
