However\, the idea is likely to be revived at a later date.] \n[2025-05-13 Update: The dates are tentative and may be rescheduled.] \nAre you up for some camping and riding? \nThis isn’t a formal competition\, just a time to get together and have a great time hanging out and riding with some other bike trials riders. In addition to trials\, there are also nearby mountain biking trails. You must sign a TTC waiver and it’s $10/day to ride. \nThere are a handful of cabins and camping available onsite\, as well as some nearby accommodations. Visit the TTC website for details on onsite and nearby accommodations. \nIf you’re interested\, please RSVP (below) and/or use the Contact Us form to let us know to help gauge interest and coordinate efforts. We’re looking to get an approximate headcount prior to May 1\, 2025 if possible.

SUMMARY:2025 Manchester Moto and Bicycle Trials
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe course is right in downtown Manchester Iowa on the rocks of the city’s Whitewater Rapids Park. You will be competing with people tubing down the rapids and others fishing right next to you! Classes: Elite\, Expert\, Sport\, Beginner/Novice\, Mountain Bike. Entry is $25. \n$300 purse for the Elite Class. Awards through at least 3rd place in all other classes. Prizes included with awards for class winners. \nWanna get a feel for what the event is like? Here’s a video from one of the prior year’s events. \nWeekend schedule\nSaturday\nMotoTrials at the Whitewater Park starting at 11:00am followed by Bicycle Trials at 3:00pm. \nInner Tube Race down the rapids at 5:00pm. Prizes to the top 3 fastest. No entry fee. Bring your own tube\, or Walmart and Palmer Hardware in town. \nSaturday evening there is a free waterski show by the Hartwick Huskys Ski Team on Lake Delhi at Smokeys Bar and Grill which is 11 miles from Manchester. The evening includes the show\, food and drinks for sale in the bar and on the beach\, and a sand volleyball tournament. \nSunday\nMotoTrials at Schram Park in Manchester at 10am. Registration\, riders meeting\, and awards for the Bicycle Trials is at the Whitewater Park below Riverbend Bar & Grill. You can park in the motorcycle pits at 401 W. Main Street which is a few blocks away and has a bike path to the course\, or park on Franklin street anywhere near Riverbend Bar & Grill. There is free camping Friday and Saturday nights for competitors and their family and friends at Schram Park which is about a mile from the Whitewater Park. \nPost-Comp Trials Riding\nFor those who aren’t leaving right after the competition\, there are two very trials-oriented mountain bike trails for anyone who attends the event to use. One is within the city limits and the other is two miles out of town.

All skill levels are welcome! \nWe’re still currently in the planning phase so the dates\, times\, and details are subject to change\, but the objectives of this event are to provide street and competition trials riders an opportunity to compete in various games and competitions\, to engage other biking disciplines such as MTB and BMX\, and to create more public awareness about bike trials. \n\nStart time: Doors open at 11 am / rider meeting at 12:00 noon (for trials competition event)\nEntry fee: $25\nRegistration: Link coming soon!\n\nContests\nWhile the details are subject to change\, we envision including competitive games such as the following: \n\nA mini traditional trials competition (probably 2-3 sections per rider class)\nSkinny contest\nStatic gap contest\nBunny hop contest\nSidehop contest\nGame of B-I-K-E\n“Footdown”\nObstacle relay race\n\nWeather-depending\, the event could include some outdoor riding as well\, both onsite as well as an offsite group ride. \nFacility\nThe Peace Dale Ramp Room was designed as a multidisciplinary facility\, to include bike trials (as seen in our early access sneak preview last year). While the layout of the park now consists primarily of ramps and berms\, a number of the features are modular. They can be used in place for trials riding\, or moved for temporary replacement by trials obstacles. \nOther Local Attractions\nIn addition to the Ramp Room\, there are other local attractions as well that you might want to try while you’re here. Here are a few of them: \n\nSons of Liberty Spirits Co distillery (conveniently\, right across the hall from the Ramp Room)\nWhalers Brewing Company\nIndoor rock climbing at Rock Spot Climbing\nMythic Bike Works bike shop\nMountain biking – multiple trails locally and nearby\n\nRegistration\nRegistration is now open on the Peace Dale Ramp Room website.

Both the band and the tacos are FREE!\nFriday evening at 7pm \, is the inner tube race down the Whitewater Park Rapids. Open to all. Great food & drink prizes through 5th place from local businesses. \nSunday is day 2 of the Motorcycle Trials at Schram park- just blocks from the Whitewater Park. Free camping at this location Friday and Saturday nights for motorcycle and bicycle competitors and their families.
